Eligibility Criteria
For the Primary teacher (class I to V)
- Passed senior secondary education with 50% marks and have appeared/passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year diploma in elementary education.
- Senior secondary education passed with 45% marks and appeared or appearing for the 2-year diploma in elementary education as per the NCTE Regulations 2002.
- Passed senior secondary education with 50% marks and passed or appearing to appear for the final year of the 4-year course of Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Graduation and have passed or appearing in the final year of a two-year diploma in elementary education.
For Elementary Teacher (Class VI to VIII)
- Graduation and passed/appearing for the final year of a 2-year diploma in Elementary education.
- Passed secondary with 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of the Bachelor in Elementary education (4 years).
- Passed graduation with 50% and passed or appearing for the 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
- Completed senior secondary with 50% marks. Passed or appearing for the final year of the B.A/B.Sc.Ed of 4 years.
- Graduation with 45 % marks and passed or appearing for 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) as per the timely regulations issued by NCTE.

Exam Pattern
Candidates should be fully conversant with the examination pattern to qualify the exam. Read complete information brochure from the official website of the concerned authority. Check the following facts about the CTET exam pattern:
- CTET 2020 exam will consist of objective type questions having four alternatives.
- Both Paper-I and Paper-II will be of 2.30 hours.
- Paper-I and Paper-II will comprise 150 questions.
- Each question will carry one mark and for each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded.
- Negative marking is not applicable in this exam.

CTET exam consists of 2 papers – Paper 1 (Primary Stage) and Paper 2 (Elementary Stage)
- Paper 1 is for candidates who intend to become a teacher for classes 1 to 5.
- Paper 2 is for candidates who wish to teach students from classes 6 to 8.

Qualifying Marks
CTET 2020 Qualifying marks is the score that candidates must score in order to clear the exam. Only candidates who qualify the test will be awarded CTET Eligibility Certificate. The qualifying marks varies for different categories. Reserved category candidates are given 5% relaxation in the qualifying marks.

CTET Previous Years’ Question Papers
Validity Period of Certificate
- The Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be 7 years.
- The validity period starts from the date of declaration of its result.
- A person can take a CTET Certificate number of times and there is no restriction.
- If a candidate wants to reappear again for improving his/her score may also appear again.
- A duplicate copy of Marks Statement or Eligibility Certificate can be got by the candidate by paying a fee as per given below by means of demand draft.
- DD will be in favor of Secretary, CBSE, drawn on any nationalized bank, payable at Delhi.
- On CTET official website, the format for applying for duplicate marks statements/certificates is available.

CTET 2020: Important Points
- The candidates may download the admit card from CTET official website.
- Appear for the examination at the given Centre with the admit card.
- If any discrepancy noticed in the admit card, the candidate should immediately contact the CTET unit for necessary corrections.
- A public notice will be issued in all leading newspapers for the answer key.
- The Answer Key will be displayed, on the official website of CTET in the given stipulated time.
- For the photocopy of OMR Sheet, the candidate has to pay Rs.500/- per OMR, by way of Demand Draft.
- The demand draft will be drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favor of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education payable at Delhi.

The answer keys of the CTET 2020 exam will be published on the official website The CBSE will release the answer keys of all sets of question papers within the specified time limit. CTET 2020 Exam Summary
- CTET 2020 Exam is likely to be held in the month of May 2020. The registration process may start in the month of February or March 2020.
- The Central Board of Secondary Education will release notification on the official website only.
- Registration for CTET 2020 exam can be done through online mode only. No printed version of the application form will be available.
- The candidates must have a valid e-mail ID and mobile for online registration and submitting application form.
- Communication with the applicants will be made on the registered e-mail ID and Mobile number.
- Payment of the application fee can be submitted through online mode like net banking, debit/credit card etc.
- There is no need to send the printout of the confirmation page or filled in the application form to the CTET authority.
- After the due date, no application form can be submitted. The registration link will be deactivated.
- The applicants have to score minimum 60% marks in the CTET exam for qualifying the exam.
- Eligible candidates as per the CTET result will get an eligibility certificate from the CBSE.
