Indian Army NCC Special Entry Vacancy Details

  • NCC Men – 50 Posts (45 for General Category and 05 for Wards of Battle Casualties of Army personnel only).
  • NCC Women – 5 Posts (04 for General Category and 01 for Wards of Battle Casualties of Army personnel only).

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Army NCC Special Entry Scheme 2020

Candidates withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from NDA, IMA, OTA or any other Service Training Academy are NOT eligible to apply.

Nationality
A candidate must either be:
(i)A citizen of India, or
(ii)A subject of Bhutan, or
(iii)A subject of Nepal, or
(iv) Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India
(v)A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya. Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
(vi)Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India

Age Limit as on 01-07-2020

  • Minimum: 19 Years
  • Maximum: 25 Years
  • Candidates born between born not earlier than 02-07-1995 and not later than 01-07-2001, both dates inclusive.

 Educational Qualification

  • For NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders
    • A Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent with 50% of marks in all the years.
    • Served for a minimum of 3 academic years in the senior Division/Wing of NCC.
    • Should obtain a minimum of ‘B’ Grade in ‘C’ Certificate Exam of NCC
  • For Wards of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel
    • A Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent with 50% of marks in all the years.
    • Should submit – Battle Casualty certificate, MP Dte / Respective Regimental Records, Relationship Certificate.

Cut-off in Physical Standards


i.
For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see the officially released advertisement for more details.
ii.Candidates must be physically fit according to the prescribed physical standards; the guidelines for the same are available at the official website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

Selection Procedure

The Applications are shortlisted based on the Eligibility criteria. The shortlisted candidates will receive an e-mail regarding the Selection Centre. The candidate will go through two selection stage.

  1. Stage I, Stage II – SSB Interview
  2. Medical Examination

The candidates who clear Stage I will be selected for Stage II Interview. For Medical Examination, Standards and Producers for Officers Entry into Army are applicable.

  • Firstly, visit the official website – joinindianarmy.nic.in
  • Click on ‘Officer Entry Apply/Login’ for Registration
  • Read the instructions carefully. After the registration process, click on Apply Online
  • Again click on Apply which is in Short Service Commission NCC Special Entry Course.
  • Now the Application form will open. Read the instructions and fill the application.
  • First fill Personal information, Communication details, Education details and details of previous SSB
  • At last in the Summary of your information will be displayed, check and edit the details if necessary.
  • Click on Submit Now button to complete the Indian Army Online Application Form 2020

Finally, candidates should download the filled Indian Army 2020 Online Application Form and are required to take photocopies of their application
