About KLEE 2020
The Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE) Kerala has released the application form of Kerala law entrance exam (KLEE) on March 08. The last date to apply for KLEE 2020 is March 18. Candidates looking for admissions to 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB can fill the KLEE application form, which is available in online mode, at the official website of CEE. The state-level law entrance exam will be conducted on April 25 and April 26 respectively for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB. For appearing in the KLEE 2020, candidates will be issued the admit card/hall ticket, a few days before the exam. KLEE 2020 will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) of two hours duration comprising 200 MCQs; questions will be asked from General English, General Knowledge, Arithmetic and Mental Ability, and Aptitude for Legal Studies sections. Admission to the UG law course will be based on merit that will be decided based on KLEE 2020 scores. The intake capacity for the various courses are 1295 seats for five-year L.L.B, 625 seats for three-year L.L.B, and 136 seats for L.L.M programmes.
KLEE is a state-level exam which is conducted in the month of July every year to offer admission in 4 government colleges and private self-financing law colleges of Kerala. Candidates seeking admission in 3-year or 5-year LLB program can appear inKLEE 2020.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking admissions to UG and PG Law courses need to fulfil the eligibility criteria as under:

Age Limit:
There is no upper age limit for admission to the LL.M Course.
Application Fee
Given below is the application fee to be paid by the candidates for admission into LLB, LLB (integrated), and LLM courses –
For LLB (3 years)/ LLB (integrated): General category candidates need to pay Rs. 600/- and those from SEBC category need to pay Rs. 300/-. The payment can be made via online mode or through E-Challan by depositing the cash at any Head Post Offices in Kerala.
For LLM: General category candidates need to pay Rs. 800/- and those from SEBC category need to pay Rs. 400/-. The payment can be made via online mode or through E-Challan by depositing the cash at any Head Post Offices in Kerala.
KLEE 2020 Application form
The candidates who are willing to appear for the KLEE 2020 will have to fill the application form online on the official website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CCE), Kerala. The forms of KLEE 2020 application will be tentatively available from the first week of May 2020 for the three years LLB programme and from the last week of April 2020 for the five year LLB programme.

Required Documents
- Nativity Proof
- Certificates obtained from TAHSILDAR for SC/ST community verification.
- Non-Creamy layer certificate in the case of SEBC/OEC.
- Inter-Caste Marriage Certificate for candidates who are children of inter-caste married couples with one parent as ST/ST.
- Age Proof
- Special reservation certificate if applicable
- Attested copy of the certificate from the medical board for a person with disabilities.
- Any other documents mentioned in the notification of the Entrance Examination.

Admit Card 2020:
The admit card of KLEE 2002 will be released on the official website of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala. KLEE admit card will be available at least a week before the exam date and candidates should download it and get printout to carry on the exam day. KLEE Exam Day Guidelines
The examination will be conducted tentatively on June 8 and June 9. It will be conducted in a computer-based mode. Examination for the five-year law programme will take place in 24 exam centres and that for the three-year law programme will take place in 11 centres.

- KLEE 2020 for the 5-year programme will be held in two shifts – forenoon and afternoon in allotted 24 centres.
- KLEE 2020 for the 3-year programme will be held in the forenoon session only in the allotted 11 centres.
- The entry of candidates in the examination hall will be prohibited after the reporting time.
- Candidates without admit cards of KLEE will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
- A valid photo Id proof should be carried by each candidate on the day of the examination. ·
- Candidates will be given a mock test first in order to familiarize them with the CBT.
- Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, calculators, smartwatch etc are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
- An access card will be given to each candidate upon reporting to their respective exam centre.
- The examination will be of two hours, no extra time will be given.
- Candidates are advised to reach the examination hall at least an hour before the last reporting time.
Exam Pattern
Information about the Entrance examination of KLEE
- The exam will be scheduled for 3 hours and will consist of 200 objective type questions.
- The Question Paper will be divided into 3 parts which comprise of General English, General Knowledge, and Aptitude for Legal Studies in multiple-choice questions.
- General English and General Knowledge section comprise 65 questions each and Aptitude for Legal Studies consists of 70 questions.
- Each correct answer will achieve 3 marks and deduction of 1 mark is done for every wrong answer.
- If applicants select multiple answers for one question then it marked will be treated as incorrect and negative marking will be done for the same.
Syllabus
Given below is the syllabus for KLEE 2020 Examination-
For LLB: The syllabus will be based on general English, G.K, legal aptitude and studies and will comprise of questions like-
General English: English Grammar, Fill in the blanks, Jumble words, one word substitution, sentence rearrangement, Antonym, Vocabulary, Synonym, etc.
General Knowledge: Indian History, Polity, Economics, Science and Technology, Environment, Current Affairs etc.
Legal Aptitude and Studies: Decision making, Analogy, Classification, Puzzle, Fundamental Rights and Duties, Articles, Constitution, Parliament and Composition, Famous Judgments etc.
For LLM: The syllabus will be based on the curriculum prescribed for the LLB. Candidates can prepare from the subjects taught during LLB.

- Firstly, carefully go through KLEE 2020 exam pattern to get an idea of the question paper structure, syllabus, and marking scheme. This information will allow the candidate to align their performance with exam requirements.
- One must also take special note of the topics which are to be covered in KLEE, especially those topics that carry maximum weightage. Candidates must prepare those topics thoroughly.
- Make a time table and strictly adhere to it.
- Follow books which have minimum errors, easy to follow, have lots of problem sets, etc.
- Don’t wave from the preparation routine till the exam is over. Study and practise the topics regularly and focus more on those areas which the candidates think they lack strong grip on.
KLEE Result and counselling
Candidates can check their KLEE 2020 result through the official website of the Kerala, CEE. A merit list will be prepared for the shortlisted candidates on the basis of the marks obtained by them in the entrance exam. Selected candidates will be called for the counselling process where they need to indicate their preference for course and college. The authority will allot a seat to the candidates based on their merit rank, seat availability and the preference given by them during the counselling. Candidates need to report to the concerned college to finish the formalities pertaining to the admission.
