All India Institutes of Medical Science (AIIMS), New Delhi organizes national level entrance test for providing admission into various nursing programmes. Candidates must check following details to know about AIIMS Nursing 2020 Application Form:

  • AIIMS Nursing 2020 Application Form will be available through online mode.
  • As per PAAR Facility, the registration will be done in two steps – Basic Registration and Final Registration.
  • Candidates must completely fill all the details in the application form. Incomplete application forms will get rejected.
  • Applicants must make sure that while filling application forms, valid email ID or contact number is provided.
  • All communication & information details regarding application form will be sent to the candidate’s registered mail id and contact number.
  • Candidates have to upload passport size colored photograph with white background in size between 50 to 100 KB in JPG / JPEG / GIF / PNG format.
  • Also students have to upload scanned image of Signature & Left Thumb Impression with size between 10 to 50 KB in JPG / JPEG / GIF / PNG format.
  • AIIMS will provide the application correction facility in some of the fields. The correction will be made for the students in the uploaded images.
  • In final registration process, students have to fill necessary details and make application fee payment.

AIIMS B.Sc Nursing 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check the eligibility standards from the points given below before applying for the course.

Eligibility for B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing

  1. Candidates must have passed Class 12th or an equivalent exam from a recognised board with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
  2. Should have obtained a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in 10+2, whereas, it is 50% for SC/ ST category.

B.Sc (Hons) Nursing and B.Sc Para medical

  1. Candidate should have qualified the 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized University/Board with English, Physics, Chemistry and either Biology or Maths.
  2. Should have obtained at least 50% marks in case of Gen/ EWS/OBC category and 45% in case of SC / ST category.

Eligibility for B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic)

  1. Qualification: Candidate must have qualified 12th class or an equivalent examination from a recognised Board/University. However, thosew ho have passed 10+1 on or before 1986 are also eligible to apply.
  2. Diploma: Candidate should have diploma in general nursing and midwifery from any of the institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
  3. Others: Candidate should have a registration as a nurse, registered nurse, or registered midwife with any State Nursing council. On the other hand, for male nurses, besides being registered as a nurse, a six-month training in any of the given subjects is compulsory.

AIIMS B.Sc Nursing 2020 Application Form

AIIMS B.Sc Nursing 2020 application form is filled in two stages through Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) facility. Candidates cannot miss on any stage and have to fill the form two times.

  • Stage 1: Basic Registration
  • Stage 2: Final Registration

In basic registration, candidates have to provide details such as name, date of birth, email id, mobile number, etc and upload the scanned images of their photo, signature and thumb impression. Candidate receives the registration ID and password in basic registration which has to kept safely as it is used in future logins.

After the basic registration and before the final registration, candidates have to generate a code. It is mandatory as candidates cannot proceed for the final registration without the code generation. Moving forward, final registration is to be done by the candidate in which qualification details and exam centre choice has to be filled. Final registration is exam specific.

Application Fee:

  • General and OBC candidates have to pay Rs.1500 as application fee.
  • Reserved candidates are required to pay Rs.1200.
  • Physically handicapped & orthopedic category candidates are exempted from paying the fee.

Mode of Payment: AIIMS Nursing 2020 Application fee will be paid through online mode.

Candidates will be able to submit the fee via credit card, debit card, or net-banking.

The scheme of examination for each B.Sc Nursing course is mentioned below.

Exam Scheme for B.Sc (Hons)

  • Duration: The duration of the exam is two hour (120 minutes).
  • Number of questions: There are a total of 100 questions asked in B.Sc (H) online exam.
  • Type of questions: All the questions are objective type i.e multiple choice questions are asked.
  • Sections: Total number of four (4) sections which are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Knowledge are included in the entrance exam of B.Sc (H)
  • Marking scheme: Candidate is allotted one (1) mark for every correct answer. There is a negative marking of -1/3 marks in case of incorrect answer.

Exam Scheme for B.Sc (Paramedical)

  • Duration: The exam is of 1 hour 30 minutes duration.
  • Type of questions: Multiple choice questions are asked in the exam.
  • Number of questions: Each section consists of 30 questions.
  • Sections: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics are the four parts of the B.Sc paramedical entrance exam. The candidate shall either attempt Biology or Mathematics.
  • Marking scheme: Each question is of one (1) mark. Whereas, -1/3 marks is deducted in case of incorrect answers.

Exam Scheme for B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic)

In B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic), the selection is done based on the two stages.

  1. Stage 1: Written examination
  2. Stage 2: Personal Assessment/Interview

Scheme of Written Exam

  • Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes is the duration of B.Sc Post Basic
  • Type of questions: Multiple choice questions are asked in the written exam.
  • Number of questions: There are a total number of 70 questions.
  • Subjects: Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing including Anatomy, Physiology & Pharmacology, Obstetrics Nursing and Midwifery, Paediatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing and Professional Trends in Nursing.
  • Marking scheme: Each question is of one (1) mark. There is a negative marking of -1/3 marks in case of incorrect answer.

Scheme of Personal Interview

Candidates are called for personal interview/assessment round based on the merit in the written examination. This round consists of 30 marks. The admission of the candidate is done based on the aggregate marks in stage 1 and 2. The number of candidates called for a personal round is three times more than the number of seats available. The assessment of candidates is done based on the following.

  • Past academic attainment in the Higher Secondary or +2 or equivalent examination.
  • Past academic attainment in the Nursing examination.
  • Performance as a Staff Nurse.

AIIMS B.Sc Nursing 2020 Admit Card

AIIMS releases the admit card for the candidates who have successfully completed the final registration. Admit card is released online on the official website and to download it, candidate have to log in using their registration ID and password. AIIMS B.Sc admit card contain personal details of the candidate and exam details such as exam date and time, address of the test center, etc.

On the day of the exam, the candidate must carry the hardcopy of the admit card along with any photo ID proof and passport size photograph. However, the candidate should not carry any textual material, electronic gadgets, mobile phone, wristwatch or calculator to the exam hall.

AIIMS B.Sc Nursing 2020 Result

AIIMS B.Sc 2020 result is released on the official website in the form of a merit list. It mention roll number of the candidate and his/her overall rank. The result is followed by the counselling process. Only qualifiers of the exam are called for online counselling. Candidates are given admission on the basis of the merit of the candidate and the counselling.

Calculation of the result: The result is calculated based on the marking scheme. Candidates can check the scheme from below.

  • One (1) mark is allotted for every correct answer.
  • -1/3 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.

AIIMS B.Sc Nursing 2020 Counselling

Candidates are called for AIIMS B.Sc 2020 counselling on the basis of their merit in the entrance exam. The candidates called for each category of course are 8 times more than the seats available. There are a total number of three rounds in counselling. The last or the final round is held in physical mode. Rest all the seat allotments rounds are done online. Candidates are given the facility of choice filling in the counselling process.
