RIMC Admission 2021 (Dehradun)
Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) Dehradun is an ‘A’ category inter-service public school established by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. RIMC Dehradun is spread over the 130 acres and has an enrollment of 250 cadets. RIMC has a 1:12 teacher-student ratio. Candidates for the school are selected from all over India through a national level Competitive examination, the RIMC examination that held twice a year in each state. Successful candidates in the entrance exam have to go through a medical fitness test to be admitted to the school. RIMC 2021 examination is also offering application form for the students of class 7th, who want to take admission in class 8th. In this article, we are providing all the details of the RIMC 2021 such as important dates, eligibility, exam pattern of examination, etc.
Admission to the academy is made to only class VIII. Admissions in RIMC are bi-annual i.e. admissions are made twice a year in the month of January and July. It is the only school in Indian where class X and XII Board exams are conducted twice a year. Admissions are only granted to male candidates. Only 25 students from all the states and Union territories are selected in each term.
Application are invited for boys only for admission to Class VIII in the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun (UK) for January 2021Term through RIMC Entrance Exam to be held on June 1 and 2, 2020.

RIMC Dehradun 2021 Eligibility Criteria:
- Only Male candidates are eligible for the Rashtriya Indian Military College.
- Candidate must be the student of class 7th or have passed from any of recognized board.
- The candidate appearing for the exam must not be less than 11.5 years of age and or should not be upper than 13 years.
- Candidates must have not been born earlier than 2 July 2007 and not later than 1 January 2009.
Medical fitness-
- Candidates must be medically fit as the medical standards of the academy at the time of admission.
Selection Procedure
| Rashtriya Indian Military College shall prepare the Final Select List based on the Merit of the Students based on their respective Performance and Total Marks both in the NIMC / RIMC Entrance Test and Personal Interview / Viva-voce for admission at the Rashtriya Indian Military College. |

- The application form along with prospectus can be obtained from The Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun through speed post by sending self-addressed slip along with demand draft.

- Demand Draft should be drawn in the favor of “The Commandant, RIMC Dehradun”.
- The address should be written /typed clearly in the capital letter with full address and pin code. RIMC Dehradun will not be responsible for any postal delay or any inconvenience.
- Candidates have to submit 2 copies of application form on prescribed format along with 2 passport size photographs.
- Candidate must send domicile certificate and Birth certificate issued by Municipal Corporation/Gram Panchayat.
- Candidate of SC/ST category must send category certificate duly attested by the principal of the school with an attested photo of the candidate.
Exam Pattern-
- The entrance test will be conducted in an offline mode (written examination).
- The question paper will be total 400 marks
- The question paper consists of three subjects viz. English, Mathematics and General Knowledge.
- The exam is conducted in two phases/papers. English and Mathematics exam i.e. paper one is conducted on the first day and General knowledge i.e. paper two is conducted on the second day.
- The medium of the exam will be both Hindi and English for Mathematics and General knowledge paper.
- Candidates must score 50% to qualify the written examination.

Parent of the candidates are required to produce following documents in original at the time of admission-
- Agreement Form (Bond)
- Bank Draft
- Risk Certificate
- Medical fitness certificate regarding infectious disease
- Municipal Birth Certificate in original plus photocopy
- Photocopy of parent’s annual income certificate, ITR & assessment order
- School transfer certificate
- Domicile certificate issued by the competent authority
- 8 passport size photograph, one copy of the family photographs, postcard size photograph of a mother, father, brother, sister
- Rs.5000/- cash for the opening personal account

The prospectus-cum-application form and booklet of old question papers can be obtained ONLY DIRECTLY from “The Rashtriya Indian Military College, Garhi Cantt, Dehradun, Uttarakhand-248003” through speed post by forwarding Self-addressed slip and an amount payee bank draft of Rs.600/- for General Candidates and Rs.555/- for SC/ST candidates along with Caste Certificate.
| Online Payment | Candidates can obtain the prospectus-cum-application form and booklet of old question papers by using the online payment method. Upon receipt of payment, the same will be dispatched by Speed post only. |

Scholarships
| Scholarships are granted by various State Governments to meritorious students. The amount of scholarships varies from state to state and is in between Rs.10,000/- to Rs.40,000/- per annum. |
| Continuation of Scholarship once granted by the state is subject to merit, income and discipline of the cadet and his performance during the year. |
